Renter using a laptop to explore rental listings with neighborhood insights

What’s near your place? Now you can see it while you search

Harmonic is a partner of Dwellsy.

When you’re searching for a place to live, one of the first questions that comes up is simple: what’s actually nearby? Before you picture your furniture in the living room, you’re already thinking about where you’ll buy groceries, how long your commute will take, whether there’s a café around the corner, and what the neighborhood feels like at different times of day. Starting now, Dwellsy helps answer those questions directly inside your home search.

Through a new partnership with Local Logic, real neighborhood insights are now built into the Dwellsy experience. That means you can understand not just the apartment you’re considering, but the surrounding area and what daily life there might look like, without having to piece everything together from different sites.

What’s new on Dwellsy

With Local Logic’s Neighborhood Profiles now part of the platform, you’ll be able to explore a quick, easy-to-understand snapshot of each neighborhood directly on Dwellsy. This includes things like average rent trends and which property managers operate in the area, helping you get a feel for the neighborhood before you even start diving into individual listings.

And when you do click into a specific home, one of the things you’ll now see on the property page is what’s nearby, the “The Places You’ll Go”. That includes everyday places like grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, banks, and more, all shown in context around that exact location. So instead of guessing what surrounds a home, you can see it right where you’re already making decisions.

You’ll also be able to personalize this view. If you want to add your current address, your work address, a favorite park, or any other important spot, you can place it on the map using custom icons. From there, you’ll be able to see what’s nearby those locations as well, alongside the nearby places around your future home. It’s a way to compare your daily life now with the one you’re considering, all in one view.

Why this makes search easier for renters and landlords

Choosing a home is a big decision, and neighborhood fit plays a huge role in whether a place truly feels right after you move in. This update helps you compare homes by lifestyle as well as price, explore the surrounding area before scheduling tours, and form a more realistic picture of what your everyday routine could look like. With clearer expectations, there are fewer surprises once you sign a lease.

Landlords also benefit from this added layer of context. Listings now tell a more complete story by showing the value of the neighborhood alongside the features of the apartment itself. Renters arrive better informed, which leads to higher-quality inquiries and more productive conversations. Many of the common questions about what’s nearby are answered before the first message is even sent.

Why we built this with Local Logic

For a long time, renters have been forced to do extra work just to understand the area around a potential home. They’ve bounced between maps, review sites, and social media, still unsure whether a neighborhood will really suit their lifestyle. This partnership brings that missing piece directly into the rental search experience.

Local Logic’s neighborhood intelligence helps describe what’s happening outside the four walls, while Dwellsy continues to deliver accurate, real-time listing data. Together, they create a clearer picture of both the home and its surroundings in one place.
